Modular Belts & Materials

Our modular belts are constructed with modules moulded from thermoplastic materials connected with solid plastic rods as standard or stainless steel upon request. Available in multiple widths by using a bricklayed pattern which also provides high lateral and diagonal strength and stiffness.

Modular belts are available in a number of different pitches from 0.5" (12.7mm) for extra tight transfers, to 2.5" (63.5mm) for heavy duty conveying for extreme loads, available in styles to suit your requirements.

Closed hinge design - Material handling and highly loaded, non-food applications

Open hinge design - Food application where sanitation is critical. The oval gaps between the links allow access for thorough cleaning without disassembly.

Dynamic open hinge design - The scalloped hinge creates a large gap that increases as the belt articulates around the sprockets. This eases the removal of debris, specifically designed to reduce cleaning time.

Each of these hinge designs are available with all types of modular belting, these include - flush grid; flat top; grid top; roller top; mini rib; nub top; cone top, flighted and sidewalled.

Standard Belt Materials

Polypropylene (PP)

Most commonly used material providing excellent chemical resistance to acids and alkalines.

Food approved EU and FDA.

Polyethylene (PE)

Well suited for very low temperatures. Excellent chemical resistance to acids and alkalines.

Food approved EU and FDA.

Polyoxymethylene (POM)

(Acetal)(AC) - High strength and low coefficient of friction. Suitable for heavy conveying and low temperatures. Good chemical resistance to oils and alkalines.

Food approved EU and FDA.

Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE)

This soft thermoplastic material has high friction values and good abrasion resistance.

Polyamide (PA)

High strength and abrasion resistant. Suitable for heavy conveying. Applications in dry conditions and elevated temperatures.
